<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control vibration of a magnetic tape at the area near a magnetic head by using a stabilizing plate and prevent drop-out due to foreign matters adhered to the magnetic tape. SOLUTION: A magnetic head 15 is arranged at one surface side of a magnetic tape T, a stabilizing plate 6 is provided in the other surface side of the magnetic tape T and at the position opposed to the magnetic head 15. A hole 20a is respectively formed at the position in the upstream side of running tape than the magnetic head 15 of this stabilizing plate 6 and at the position in the downstream side of running tape. The surface forming the holes 20a is formed as the foreign matter wiping surface 20b provided at almost right angle to the magnetic tape T.</p> |
