<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a touch panel like a mouse without providing any special hardware by transforming the coordinate data of the touch panel to data for the mouse interface of a computer and outputting them. SOLUTION: When the touch panel of a coordinate input device is designated by a finger, a coordinate data input part 401 detects these coordinate data separately for X and Y coordinates, and a main control part 402, that receives a report from the coordinate data input part 401, outputs the maximum value of previously held mouse data from a mouse data output part 404 to the mouse interface of the computer and moves the position of a cursor to an origin. Next, the main control part 402 sends the touch panel coordinate data received from the coordinate data input part 401 to a data transforming part 403, the transforming part 403 transforms the coordinate data of the touch panel to the data of a moving amount for the mouse, and the mouse data output part 404 outputs these data to the mouse interface of the computer as pulse data for the mouse.</p> |
