<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence electrification among oriented films of a liquid crystal panel having plural layers of oriented films and to prevent the occurrence of display defects by forming an oriented film on the channel of a semiconductor element to have a single layer structure. SOLUTION: A TFT substrate and a CF substrate washed, on which a polyimide having low pretilt angle is formed by printing and hardened as a first layer oriented film by using a printing machine. Then a polyimide having a high pretilt angle is formed by printing and hardened as a second layer oriented film. Then a resist is applied thereon and irradiated with UV rays through a photomask 10. Then the resist is developed and etched to peel the second layer oriented film on the light shielding part of the mask, thereby selectively removing, in the obtd. substrate, the second layer oriented film in the area of the channel 6. By forming a single-layer structure, display defects due to electrification of oriented films can be prevented, thereby operating the gate a normal state to reduce display defects due to electrification of oriented films.</p> |
