PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability of a zoom key so as to easily set to fixed magnification and the arbitrary magnification by using zoom key for executing the magnification setting. SOLUTION: This device is provided with the zoom up key and the zoom down key 103 for setting the magnification to a prescribed scale factor by changing the magnification for each prescribed unit, for instance, at 1% unit to make the set magnification zooming up or zooming down by operating either one of the keys and to indicate the state on a LCD 102 being a display part. In the course of changing the magnification setting, when it comes on the fixed magnification, or the vicinity thereof, a sub message based on the optimum combination of size of an original and the size of a paper sheet which is permitted to be processed by the fixed magnification is indicated. On referring the indication of the sub-message, the target scale factor is set by operating the zoom up key or the zoom down key 103. |
