PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display time and a date without enlarging the display area of a display unit. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a reception tuner 10 receiving multiplexed FM broadcasting, a control means 12 taking out a multiplex signal from FM broadcasting received by the reception tuner 10, demodulating the multiplex signal and generating character data and a display unit 18 displaying and outputting character data outputted from the control means 12. The display unit 18 is provided with a header display area 20 displaying a header sentence among character data and a text display area 22 displaying the context of character data. The control means 12 is provided with a clock part (clock function) outputting time and the date as time/date data. The control means 12 is provided with a display mode setting part 14 for setting the display mode of the date and time and a time display control part 16 which display-controls time/date data on a part of the header sentence display area in accordance with the display mode which is set by the display mode setting part 14. |
