PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fitting protrusion for a applicable toner storage container only to be insertable and prevent the breakage of the fitting protrusion. SOLUTION: A developing device 50 has a bottom plate 51, side plates 52a, 52b standingly provided along the right and left sides of the bottom plate 51 and a side plate 53 standingly provided along the corner side of the bottom plate 51. The side plate 53 as a restricting plate for a toner storage container to be inserted therein is provided with a protecting wall 57 and a fitting protrusion 58 respectively protruded to the inside. The protecting wall 57 almost L-shaped in a front view is protruded a preset size from the upper and right sides of the side plate 53 and arranged in such a manner that the outer surface is flush with the upper and right sides of the side plate 53. The fitting protrusion 58 is formed with screws 60, 61 protruded to the inside to be threaded into screw holes made in the side plate 53 in an area surrounded by the protecting wall 57.
