PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bond magnet which is excellent in magnetic characteristic (maximum energy product). SOLUTION: The permanent magnet powder is made of a composition containing 2-15 (both inclusive) atomic % of rare earth element Y, 5-8 (both inclusive) atomic % of rare earth element B and a balance of Fe, CO and unavoidable impurities. A hydrogen occluding process is carried out under a hydrogen gas atmosphere condition of a relationship between CO amount in the composition and hydrogen or hydrogen gas partial pressure corresponding to a region of a graph defined by 4 points A, B, C and D in the graph. |
