PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong the life and to improve reliability by forming an opening member by a low friction member to improve operability and to prevent the damage of a device and a scanned medium. SOLUTION: A scanner hood 2 which is in contact with a code 3 and forms an open hole 4 from/to which light is emitted and enter at it tip part, is assembled to the tip of a scanner main body 1. The recessed part 10 of the scanner hood 2 is engaged in the tip projecting part 9 of the scanner main body 1 to form integrated structure. Then light emitted from a light emitting element 5 is reflected by a code 3 through the open hole 4 and the reflected light is converged by a lens 6 through the open hole 4 again and forms an image at a light receiving element 7. The material of the scanner hood 2 is formed from polyacetal being a low friction material. This polyacetal desirably includes no additive such as glass, carbon. Thereby the assembling place of the scanner main body 1 and the scanner hood 2 is composed of the tip projecting part 9 and the recessed part 10 to obtain rigid combination structure. |
