PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic core for a pulse transformer which is excellent in impedance frequency characteristics and transmission characteristics over a wide of temperature by making a height of the transformer to be 3mm or less, while requiring a less number of turns in coil winding. SOLUTION: The transformer magnetic core comprises a ring-shaped magnetic core body 3 made of magnetic material and resin coatings 1 and 2 covering the body 3. The magnetic core body 3 has an outer diameter of 10mm or less, a thickness of 1.2mm or less and an AL value of 4.0μH/N<2> or more at 10kHz and at the time of an input of 0.1V. The magnetic core body 3 may comprise a wound soft magnetic alloy thin strip, laminated rings blanked by a press, or laminated E shaped and I shaped thin pieces blanked by pressing.
