PURPOSE:To accelerate the bleaching of a sensitive material and to prevent the deterioration of a fixing soln. by a bleaching soln. brought into the fixing soln. by successively processing the sensitive material with the bleaching bath contg. a prescribed ferric complex salt and the fixing bath contg. aminopolycarboxylic acid. CONSTITUTION:A color photographic sensitive material is color-developed, processed with a bleaching bath (A) and further processed with a bath (B) having fixing ability to form a dye image. A processing soln. of pH 2.5-5.5 contg. >=0.2 mol/l ferric complex salt of 1,3-diaminopropanetatraacetic acid is used as the bath A. A processing soln. contg. aminopolycarboxylic acid such as ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid and/or org. phosphonic acid such as a compd. represented by the formula is used as the bath B. By this method, Fe (III) ions brought from the bath A are converted into a stable Fe (III) complex and the decomposition of sulfite ions, etc., in the bath B by oxidation is considerably inhibited. |
