PURPOSE:To facilitate the removal of a running truck from a piping to be inspected, by putting a wheel cap made of non-magnetic material detachably on a magnet wheel of a magnetic attraction type traveling mechanism. CONSTITUTION:Four magnet wheels 4a, 4b, 4c and 4d and two wheel driving motors 5a and 5b are mounted at the front, the rear, the right and the left of a running truck body 2. A scanning mechanism 6 of an ultrasonic probe 7 is provided on the running truck 1. For a flaw inspection of a piping, the magnet wheels 4a-4d are magnetically attracted to the circumference of the piping. Before removal of the running truck 1 from the piping, the magnet wheels 4a-4d are covered with wheel caps 10a, 10b, 10c and 10d made of non- magnetic material and turned by a half. This enables the weakening of a magnetic attraction force between the magnet wheels 4a-4d and the piping, thereby facilitating the removal of the running truck 1 from the piping. |
