摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent the transfer of the component of a thermal transfer layer toward the heat-resistant protective layer on the rear of a support at a high temp. and during the long-term preservation and to obtain good printing grade even on a low-smoothness paper by adding porous silica particles to the thermal transfer layer of the outermost layer and making the thermal transfer layer thinner than the mean particle size of porous silica particles. CONSTITUTION:0.5-50.0wt.% of porous silica particles having a specific surface area according to a B.E.T method of 50(m<2>/g) and a mean particle size of 0.5-10.0mum and not fundamentally melted and softened at 300 deg.C or lower are added to the outermost layer 3 of one or more thermal transfer layer and the mean particle size of said silica particles is set so as to be larger than the thickness of the outermost layer 3 of the thermal transfer layer 2. That is, by adding the porous silica particles having a mean particle size larger than the thickness of the outermost layer to the outermost layer 3, the direct contact between the outermost layer of the thermal transfer layer and the heat-resistant protective layer 4 on the rear of a support 1 is perfectly prevented and the transfer of the component of the thermal transfer layer to the heat-resistant protective layer 4 on the rear of the support 1 at a high temperature and during the long-term preservation, can be prevented.
