摘要 PURPOSE:To improve corrosion resistance without increasing the amount of mercury added to the inner surface of a zinc can in an amalgamated state by causing the inner surface of the zinc can to absorb an anphoteric surfactant. CONSTITUTION:The anphoteric surfactant is adsorbed on the inner surface of a zinc can. As the amphoionic surfactant, especially a substance is used which contains both amino acid or amino radical and carboxyl radical in a single molecule. As a means for making the amphoionic surfactant to be adsorbed on the inner surface of the zinc can, the following process is used, for example,: A solution is prepared by dissolving the surfactant in an organic solvent, water, or mixture of the organic solvent and water. The solution is poured in the can to wet the inner surface of the can. The solution is then poured out, and the can is dried by evaporating the organic solvent and water so that the surfactant is adsorbed.
