PURPOSE:To decide the curve of a traveling vehicle and to make correction for a calculated position by providing running distance detection means, bearing detection means, map storing means, position display means, travel bearing search means, opposite travel bearing search means, and renewing means. CONSTITUTION:The running distance for the vehicle is detected by the running distance detection means M1 and the travel bearing for the vehicle is detected by the bearing detection means M2 respectively. The map information including plural inspection points is stored by the map storing means M3 and the calculated position for the vehicle based on the running distance and the travel bearing is displayed together with the map information by the position display means M4. Then, by the travel bearing search means M5 after the vehicle is curved, inspection points having curved ways in the travel bearing after the curve are searched from the means M3 within a specified range of the travel bearing based on the running distance and the travel bearing before the curve. By the opposite travel bearing search means M6 after the vehicle is curved, the inspection points having the curved ways in the travel bearing after the curve are searched from the means M3 within the specified range of the opposite travel bearing based on the running distance and opposite bearing before the curve. Further, by the renewing means M7, the calculated position is renewed by the selection made from the inspection points which are searched from the means M5, M6. |
