Apparatus for menu-based navigation in a complex data stock

The navigation is accomplished with a symmetrical three-dimensional body (12) divided into an aspect layer (17.1-17.5) and a document classification layer (18) which has only menu items subordinate to the aspect menu structure in a context-sensitive manner. One part of each menu structure is displayed to the user at the same time. The aspect menu structure is associated with a hierarchical level mirroring the structure of the object.
