PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure hermetical sealing and to prevent a pipe from being removed by providing a rubber receiving groove in the inner circumferential surface of a socket and inserting a rubber ring and an elastic ring having a surface projecting toward the rubber ring side and by pressing the rubber ring on the projecting surface of the elastic ring by hydraulic pressure to expand its diameter and to ensure hermetical sealing. SOLUTION: A rubber ring 3 is inserted into a rubber ring receiving groove 11 made on the inner circumference of a socket 1 and an elastic ring 4 made of stainless steel is inserted into the outside of the rubber ring 3. If an inserting port 2 is inserted into the socket 1 and fluid such as water is flowed in the pipe, the rubber ring 3 is pressed by the hydraulic pressure toward the exit side with the inserting port 2 and thus the rubber ring 3 is pressed by the projecting surface 41 of the elastic ring 4. Then the rubber ring 3 is pressed by the projecting surface 41 of the elastic ring 4 to produce force for expanding the outer peripheral end thereof and contracting the inner circumferential end thereof, thereby strongly pressing the outer peripheral surface of the inserting port 2 and the inner circumferential surface of the socket 1. At the same time, the projecting surface 41 of the elastic ring 4 is pressed and deformed in the direction that reduces the height thereof, whereby the inserting port 2 is hard to remove from the socket 1. |
