PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To completely seal gaps due to a difference in folded step portions, eliminating the possibility of invasion of ants, small insects, etc., after packaging and package an article sanitarily by blowing hot air to an upper face portion of a packaging box formed by folding upper edge portions thereof and welding and sealing the folded portions. SOLUTION: An article 2 to be packaged is contained in a packaging bag 1 made of a laminated film having a thermally weldable outer layer in such a manner that upper edge portions of the packaging bag 1 are folded while leaving by a sealable margine on each upper edge portion. A first folding by which a forward upper edge portion 10a of the packaging bag 1 is folded and a second and a third foldings by which a left and a right upper edge portions 10b, 10c thereof are folded, respectively, are levelled by a press roller 5, and hot air from a heater 3 is then blown to a folded upper face portion 20c of the packaging bag 1 to weld and seal the first to the third folded portions integrally. Then, a fourth folding by which a rearward upper edge portion 10d of the packaging body 1 is folded is performed, and, in a like manner, this folded upper edge portion 10d is welded under heating onto the upper face portion 20c. |
