SOLUTION: When the refrigerating cycle of the air conditioner is switched by a four-way valve 3 and operated, the detected temperature comparator 10a of an indoor unit controller 10 compares the detected indoor heat exchange temperature with the detected indoor temperature by an indoor temperature detector 7 by a heat exchange temperature detector 6, and calculates the temperature difference. The four-way valve fault discriminator 10b of the controller 10 discriminates that the valve 3 is abnormal according to the difference, and informs the abnormal discrimination by a display unit 11. At this time, the controller 10 stops an indoor fan 8, and sends the stop control signal of a compressor 4 to an outdoor unit controller 2 to stop the compressor 4. |
