PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new oxazolidinone derivative comprising a specific oxazolidinone derivative in which phosphatidyl group is substituted at 5 position, exhibiting phospholipase A2-inhibiting activity and useful for treating inflammation, allergy, rheumatics, cardiac infarction or asthma. SOLUTION: This new oxazolidinone derivative is represented by formula I (R<1> is an alkyl; R<2> is H, an alkyl; R<3> is an alkyl; A<1> and A<2> are each an alkylene), e.g. 3-dodecanoyl-(5S)-phosphatidylcholinohydroxymethyl(4S)-propyl-2- oxazolidinone. The compound exhibits phospholipase A2-inhibiting activity and is useful as a treating agent, etc., for wide diseases, e.g. inflammation, allergy, rheumatics, cardiac infarction and asthma. The compound is obtained by reacting an oxazolidinone derivative represented by formula II with 2-chloro-2 oxo-1,3,2-dioxaphosphorane and then reacting the reaction product with trialkylamines. |
