PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the rigidity at the center part of a lid while realizing the floating supporting structure of the lid, in an air bag device in which the lid having a breaking part formed in a thin wall to facilitate a rupture about at the center, and to cover the opening of a housing is floating supported to a retainer provided at the housing which is fixed to a fixed supporting member; an inflator is housed and fixed in the housing; and a bag which can be developed at the opposite side of the inflator by the high pressure gas from the inflatoris housed in the folded condition. SOLUTION: A cover 20 expanding to a lid 16 side, and having a circular arc part 20b1 to contact to the center of the inner surface of the lid 16, while being able to be broken according to the development of a bag 14, is regulated its relative movement with the lid 16 in the folded condition of the bag 14, and housed in the lid 16. |
