PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having high emitting frequency, capable of forming a high density highly detailed image of good quality and easy to produce. SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus is equipped with the recording head arranged in opposed relation to recording paper. The recording head has a film 31 and a plurality of emitting electrodes 32 are formed to the respective surfaces of the film 31 and the support member supporting the film 31 at a predetermined position and having an ink passage 30 for supplying ink formed to the leading end thereof is provided in the vicinity of the leading end of the film 31. A plurality of protruding parts 41 having ink emitting points formed thereto are formed to the leading end of the film 31. When ink is supplied to the leading end through the ink passage 30 and bias voltage is applied across the respective emitting electrodes 32, toner in ink is flocculated on the protruding parts of the leading end of the film and, when recording voltage higher than bias voltage is applied, the flocculated toner is allowed to fly toward the recording paper. |
