Apparatus which makes it possible to carry out an anterior capsulotomy in a regular manner and by means of a flexible ring incorporated inside a fine cannula which has access to the inside of the anterior chamber of the eyeball. The apparatus produces a uniform circular cut, on the anterior capsule of the capsular sac of the crystallin, by means of an induction diathermy system, making it possible to implant an intraocular lens with great facility of manoeuvre and guaranteeing its positioning and seating. The apparatus has a casing to support the power-generator unit (Figure 2) and an active-use terminal electrode (Figure 3). <IMAGE>
