<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the slicing ball of a person weak in gripping power or a female golfer, to enable the golfer to expect for an increased carry and to avoid hindering a hit ball by mounting a shaft at the required position on the front surface of a head and forming the extension of the axial line of the shaft so as to pass a sweat area when viewed from the direction where the head canes into contact with the ball. SOLUTION: This wood golf club is constituted by mounting the shaft 1 at the required position on the upper surface of the head 2 and forming the extension of the axial line 3 of the shaft so as to pass the sweat area 4 when viewed from the direction where the head comes into contact with the ball. As a result, the force of the through-ball colliding against the sweat area 4 at the moment of impact acts nearly on the axial line 3 of the shaft and does not impart rotational torque on the shaft 1. Since the ball can be hit by the true center of the shaft 1, the loss by the twist of the shaft 1 is eliminated. The wood golf club which is extremely simple and has a high use effect is obtd.</p> |
