WATER-BASE INK FOR INK JET RECORDING

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-base ink for ink jet recording which has a deep and vivid color and further improved water resistance by increasing the content of a hydrophobic dye in a water dispersion of a vinyl polymer. SOLUTION: The dispersion of a vinyl polymer is prepd. by copolymerizing a styrene macromer of a styrene homopolymer or copolymer having a polymerizable functional group in its one terminal, a polymerizable unstaturated monomer having a salt forming group, and a monomer copolymerizable with these monomers in the presence of a radical polymerization initiator. The water- base ink for ink jet recording comprises a dispersion comprising a hydrophobic dye incorporated into the above dispersion.
