<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drinking water heating/cooling apparatus in which heating and cooling can be efficiently effected, energy conservation can be achieved, and tasteful hot water and cold water can be obtained and held sanitarily. SOLUTION: There are provided a water storage tank 2 for storing unboiled water, a boiling heater 5 for boiling the unboiled water in the tank 2, a boiling water tank 8 for storing the boiling water, a check valve 1 for preventing the boiling water from returning to the tank 2, a precooling tank 12 which receives the boiling water from the tank 8 so that the boiling water is heat- exchanged with the unboiled water in the tank 2, a high-water-level float switch 14 provided in the tank 12, a cold water tank 15 for receiving hot water in the tank 12, and a cooling means for cooling the water in the tank 15. The heater 5 is located at a level lower than the tank 8, and the tank 15 is located at a level lower than the tank 12, an inlet port 9a is set at a level higher than an outlet port 13a, the port 13a is set at a level higher than an inlet port 13b, and the switch 14 is located so as not to be at a higher level than the port 9a so that electric current to the heater 5 is cut off when the switch 14 reaches a highest level.</p> |
