PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device where an ink stuck on a friction roller is removed completely with a cleaning roller made of an inexpensive material so as to output a high quality image, with an excellent durability. SOLUTION: The device comprises a recording head 7 and a sheet material feeding mechanism 4 for conveying a sheet material recorded by the recording head 7. The sheet material feeding mechanism 4 comprises a driving roller 41, at least one friction roller 42 in contact with the driving roller 41 and a cleaning roller 44 in contact with the friction roller 42 so as to wipe off the dirt on the friction roller 42. Groove portions 44a are formed on the cleaning roller 44 at a position corresponding to the friction roller 42 such that tip portions 42a of the friction roller 42 are inserted in the groove portions 44a to bring the side surface of the tip portions into contact therewith. |
