METHOD FOR MELTING AND CASTING METAL IN MOLD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously produce a large scaled casting and many castings from a reaction material while evacuating in a short time without intermitting the vacuum condition. SOLUTION: A mold 10 and a crucible 13 are simultaneously evacuated and successively, induction melting in the crucible 13 is executed with an induction coil 15 existing at the out of the vacuum. While keeping the vacuum condition, the crucible 13 together with the mold 10 in a casting chamber 6 are tilted at least at 180 deg. to pour the molten metal into the mold 1 from the crucible 13.
