<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent gas flow path of a coke oven from clogging due to discharge of decomposed material of a waste plastics when coal and dry distilled coke are produced so as to effectively utilize the waste plastics. SOLUTION: A crude granular waste plastics 11 is charged into the lower part of a carbonizing chamber 1 and coal 10 in which fine granular waste plastics 12 having about <=1mm particle diameter is blended is charged thereon and dry-distilled. A waste plastics 11 discharged into the lower part of the carbonizing chamber 1 is thermally decomposed and when the thermally decomposed product is discharged out of the system, the product is passed through a high-temperature coke layer and even if insufficiently decomposed hydrocarbon is included in the thermally decomposed product, the substance is further thermally decomposed while passing through the upper coke layer and converted to low molecular weight hydrocarbon and gasified. Thereby, an amount of waste plastics larger than that treated in a conventional method can be charged without increasing a material attached to gas discharge flow path.</p> |
