<p>The invention provides the total structures of mammalian homologues of occludin as a constitutive protein of tight junctions (TJ). Human, canine and mouse occluding genes have been analysed by conducting a polymerase chain reaction based on the sequence found around a neural apoptosis inhibitory gene. Further it has been confirmed that occludin is a constitutive protein of TJ by preparing the antibody and conducting immunofluorescent cell staining.</p> |
