The present invention relates to a subscriber station (1) of a radio system providing a wireless subscriber interface, consisting of terminal equipment (3) and a user interface (2), the user interface consisting of a subscriber device (2) suitable for use in a fixed telephone network, and the terminal equipment (3) comprising a radio part (11) for establishing a data transmission connection with other system parts (5, 6) by using radio-frequency signals, and a teleadapter (11) for adapting the user interface (2) to the radio part (11). To provide a subscriber station with more versatile operations and significantly easier installation, the terminal equipment (1) comprises indicator means (14) for indicating to the user of the subscriber station (1) the status of the data transmission connection between the subscriber station and the other parts (5, 6) of the radio system.
