A device for the plasma cutting of metals, comprising a casing with an inner electrode, an outlet electrode with a tubular discharge channel and with openings for introducing swirled gas into the space between the electrodes, and a metal sleeve being electrically insulated from the casing and placed around the casing with a gap and having opening coaxial to the tubular discharge channel and openings for introducing swirled gas, characterized in that a part of the outlet electrode in which the tubular discharge channel is located being made in the form of a copper anode insert that has, for example, a thread connection with another, coaxial water-cooled part (surrounded by a gap) of the metal sleeve; the metal sleeve, which has an opening that is coaxial to the tubular discharge channel, has a copper or ceramic insert that has, for example, a thread connection with another section of the metal sleeve, wherein the ratio between the tubular length (L) and its diameter (d) being kept within a range of 2 to 5.
|
