MAGNETIC FIELD-SENSITIVE SENSOR WITH A THIN-FILM STRUCTURE AND USE OF THE SENSOR

The magnetic field-sensitive sensor (S) for deployment in an external magnetic field has thin-film structure (3) with at least one measurement layer (3e) with a material anisotropy relative to the magnetic field sensitivity. The structure (3) has at least one soft magnetic layer (3e') which can be the measurement layer (3e). For the soft magnetic layer (3e'), a pre-determined symmetrical geometry should be chosen, the multiplicity of which with regard to a rotational axis vertical to the measurement layer (3e) should be chosen depending on the multiplicity of the corresponding symmetry of the material anisotropy of the measurement layer. The form of the response function of the sensor to the magnetic field can be adjusted in this way.
