<p>In a signal converter, an input signal is combined with a feedback signal in a subtracter (10). Samples of the combined signal are mapped onto a larger number of output samples by a mapper (20). According to the present invention a single combined signal is used instead of a number of combined signals. This results in a reduced complexity. According to a further embodiment of the invention the signal converter comprises a noise shaping filter (18) between the subtracter (10) and the mapper (20).</p> |
