The steering controls include a longitudinal stabiliser (20) and a pair of ailerons-elevators (elevons) (30) which can be actuated individually to pass a neutral angle of attack to a negative angle of attack. A control, arm (40) is associated with each elevon to pivot simultaneously the elevons around the longitudinal axis of the dirigible. The longitudinal stabiliser can have a wing attached to the hull (20) by a hinge (22) to the leading edge of an outer surface of the dirigible adjacent to the rear elevons.
