A base number for indicating a first transmission frame, and confirmation numbers are included in the information field of a transmission frame used to confirm the incoming numbered transmission frame of the subscriber or network device. The base number and confirmation characters are associated with the first and successive transmission frames to be confirmed. The confirmation characters are placed in the information field of the transmission frames to be transmitted to confirm several transmission frames. The information is wirelessly transmitted and secured by a security protocol.
