The drive has the cylinders (GT,D) of a number of printing stages coupled to one another via cog wheels, rotated by a common drive (ABT), with at least one cylinder (PT,GT) within each printing stage rotated by an independent drive (AGP). The plate cylinder (PT) withi each priting stage may be rotated via the associated rubber wetting cylinder (GT), which has an independent drive for rotation relative to the counter-pressure cylinder (GD) and the transfer cylinder (T).
