The invention concerns aqueous dispersions which are suitable for preparing coated textiles and, relative to the solids content, contain: a) between 10 and 60 wt.% or polyurethane which carries hydrophilic groups rendering the polyurethane water-dispersible; b) between 5 and 30 wt.% of a copolymer composed of: b1) between 10 and 50 wt.% styrene; b2) between 90 and 10 wt.% butadiene; and b3) between 0 and 20 wt.% of a further ethylenically unsaturated monomer which can be radically copolymerized with styrene; c) between 0.1 and 5 wt.% of an emulsifier; d) between 5 and 30 wt.% melamine; e) between 0.1 and 30 wt.-% of an animoplastic or phenolic resin; f) between 1 and 30 wt.% of a flame proofing agent; and g) between 1 and 70 wt.% of a kaolin.
