Insulation arrangement for rectangular section wires for transformers and chokes

The electrical wires are of a type used for producing the high voltage windings of electrical transformers. In the simplest form the wire has a single rectangular section conductor 1 that is covered in a thin internal insulation of lacquer and or paper. This is enclosed in an outer insulation 4 in such a way that a region is formed on one side 3 for an insulation reinforcement. The insulation reinforcement region may be configured in various ways for single and double conductor wires.
