The brush ring has a carrier body (TR) with brush fibres (F) attached about its circumference so as to protrude outwards. The carrier body has additional distribution elements (STI) for application of the brush fibres with the aid of a mounting part associated with the carrier body. The carrier body and/or the mounting part are essentially annular. The carrier body is of two parts, i.e. a holder ring (GR) and an associated covering ring (DR). The distribution elements are attached to the holder ring. The brush fibres are elastically spring mounted in an elastic intermediate film (EZ) inserted between the holder and covering rings.
