摘要 |

The invention relates to a process and apparatus for biological waste water purification, in which process or apparatus water constituents are respired with feed of air or oxygen by bacteria suspended in the activated sludge/waste water mixture in an activation tank, and then the mixture and excess sludge being transferred (13) into a secondary clarification tank (12) in which the bacteria are separated from the water by sedimentation and are returned (14) to the clarification tank (10). It has become noticeable as a disadvantage in the previously known activated-sludge processes and apparatuses that a dry matter content of only about 2.5 to 5 g/l can be achieved in the activation tank, which greatly restricts the purification efficiency. The invention provides a remedy here by the biomass or bacterial content in the activation tank (10) being increased by lamella packs (18) arranged running inclined upwards and which are arranged at the end of the flow path of the activation tank (10) upstream of the outlet at a distance from the latter, or the activated sludge being thickened, so that in the activation tank (10) a dry matter content of > 5 to 7 g/l can be set (cf. Fig. 8).

|
