Instrument for minimal invasive endoscopic surgery

The instrument comprises a rigid tube and parts at the end of the tube consist of a row of discs which have a ridge along its diameter on one flat side and a groove along the diameter of the other side. Ridge and groove are in line with one another. The discs are stacked with the ridges engaging with the grooves. Angled faces at one side of the discs allow the stack to bend round. The stack of disc is bent round using two strips (13,16) which pass through slots in the discs and are attached to the end disc. The strips are operated by a knob on the handle of the instrument.
