The sensor has an oscillator housing (11). An insulating element (12) is fastened to the oscillator housing. A piezoelectric oscillator (13) has one end supported by the insulating element. Electrode layers are provided on the upper and lower surfaces of the piezoelectric oscillator. A plate element (17) is connected to the electrode layers such that it acts as a short circuit bridge. A cover element (18) covers the oscillator housing. A wire (15) passes through the cover element and is connected to the piezoelectric oscillator. An amplifier is connected to the wire.
