Screw-holes are produced for fixture screws (4) by preferably self-cutting screws (4) with groove walls (2) defining the sides of the screw duct. Both walls of the groove, near the opening, have two protruding strips (5) in pairs and constricting the internal aperture. The strips are deformed when the screw is inserted so that each forms a contact part gripping round part of the outer surface of the screw. A second pair of strips (6) is positioned a little way from the base of the groove, and has an internal distance apart less than that of the first pair.
