Rail vehicle tilt system in curves

A rocker cradle (10) connected via springs (11) to the car bogie frame (2,3). It is also joined to the rail car body (1) via a wedge surface system which with any turning movement (ALPHA) between bogie and car body raises the outer side of the body and at the same time depresses the inner side by the same amount. The system consists of two vertically superposed obliquely bevelled but straight round cylinders (7,8). The axes of the cylinders register in the absence of any turning movement with the vertical axis (4) of the bogie, with the circular faces of the cylinders fixed to bogie and body respectively and the bevelled faces of the two cylinders pressed together.
