Heated bed for newly born babies

The heated bed has a heat emitter (3) arranged above the lying surface (2). The emitter has at least one bar shaped lamp (6) and at least one reflector (7) with a downwards pointing opening. The reflector encloses the top and the sides of the lamp or lamps. So that the electromagnetic radiation leaving the lamp (6) or lamps, leaves the reflector downwards in the direction of the lying surface, and the predominate part of the radiation is focussed on the lying surface. The reflector had a trapezium cross section, so that the surface formed by the base side of the trapezium, corresponds to the surface of the reflector which is open pointing downwards. The heat emitter has a dazzle protection strip, which extends under the lamp within the inner space of the reflector.
