Granular sodium percarbonate for use in detergent compositions

Granular sodium percarbonate is produced in a reactor charged with unpurified anhydrous Na2CO3 under an air flow at constant temperature. The charge is agitated and sprayed with H2O2 solution and the sodium percarbonate produced is continuously dried. Any uneven percarbonate is recycled for further production. A further claim is for a process for the manufacture of particulate sodium percarbonate in which 1 or more compounds from the following groups 1, 2, 3 and 4 are introduced into a reactor with MgSO4 in order to blend them with the interior or the surface of the particles; (1) - aqueous sodium silicate of general formula Na2OnSiO2 xH2O where n = 1 to 4 and x = 0 to 9, (2) - higher fatty acids and carbohydrate esters or polyol or a compound that is given by adding polyoxyethylene to this ester, (3) - pyridine compounds or their salts with 1 or more carboxyl groups as substituents, (4) - aromatic or aliphatic amines and their salts with 1 or more sulphonic acid groups or carboxyl groups and substituents.
