Mobile telephone with flap

The telephone has a housing (1,2) with an upper selection keyboard (5) and a flap (6) linked to the lower housing end. The flap can be pivoted away from the keyboard and housing in defined end positions. Circular blind holes (12) in the housing side walls, in the lower end regions beneath the keyboard, have two diametric crossed grooves (13) in their bases. The flap side walls (8) extend slightly over the blind holes with the flap over the keyboard, and carry spigots (15) extending into the holes. The spigots have end ridges (16) matching the base grooves. The flap is biased to keep the journal engaged with the holes. The angular groove and rib alignments are matched with respect to each other, so that the ribs latch into the grooves in both of the flap end positions.
