<p>PURPOSE:To prevent bad smell due to storage of condensed water in a drain pipe, propagation of bacteria, back flow of condensed water under negative pressure in a device, and suction of outside polluted air and to achieve a simple structure at the same time in an air conditioner. CONSTITUTION:One end of a drain pipe 3'' is connected to a water outlet port 2 of a drain pan 1 and the other end thereof is inserted into a drain port 4 outside a device. The upper part of a rubber sheet 10 which covers an opening of the pipe 3'' on the inserted side is fixed to a position above the opening of the pipe 3'' by a stop screw 11 so as to be oscillated. The difference in height H of the pipe 3'' is so set that the weight of condensed water becomes larger than an expected negative value which will be generated in the device.</p> |
