Storage rack for substantially vertically storing boards (10) such as hardboard, wood fibre board and the like, having dimensions of approximately 2000 mm by 1200 mm. The storage rack comprises a framework and a number of supporting planes (1) forming compartments (5) connected to it. The supporting planes (1) enclose an angle ( alpha ) of approximately 8 DEG with the vertical plane. A plane (6) extending through the front edge (7) of a supporting plane and being square to it, is at a distance from the front edge of the subsequent supporting plane (1) and, seen in plan view, encloses an angle ( beta ) between 5 DEG en 20 DEG with a vertical plane (9) extending through the foremost points of the supporting planes. Each supporting plane (1) can consist of some rods (11) being located obliquely above each other. A number of rods is part of the supporting planes (1) of subsequent compartments (5) and are connected to an elongated beam (12) being secured to the framework (15) in horizontal direction. <IMAGE>
