A chip-type electrolytic capacitor (1) has a capacitor element (2) impregnated with an electrolytic solution, a cylindrical case (3) for containing the capacitor element (2), a sealing member (4) for sealing the cylindrical case (3), and an insulating board (5) having a mounting surface (5c) to be fixed to an electronic circuit board. The vapor pressure of the electrolytic solution is regulated to a predetermined value to prevent deformation of the cylindrical case (3) and the sealing member (4) by the heat of the fixing operation.
